Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a lively Mexican celebration dating back thousands of years bringing family and friends together to joyfully pray, honor and remember ancestors through food, music and colorful traditions like ofrendas (alters), calaveras (decorative skulls), marigolds and papel picado (cut paper decorations).

💀 The Day of the Dead falls on November 1 & 2, but in the Bay Area special events are spread throughout October and early November. 💀
