The Marin City Juneteenth Festival is the largest annual Festival of Black African Arts and Culture in the North Bay Area. We choose to celebrate our culture on Juneteenth, a holiday celebrated in Texas and the United States for decades. 

This annual gathering continues to affirm the brilliance, resilience, & Love of African Diaspora communities while fostering unity among.

The City of Richmond will be hosting the Juneteenth Family Day and Festival with a parade, festival, live music, food, art and more!

Juneteenth commemorates the liberation of the enslaved peoples in Texas, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation abolished slavery in the Confederate States in 1863. We will observe the date with a local celebration including, music, art, drumming, singing, dancing, and musical performance.

Vallejo's Juneteenth will feature a great mix of music that will appeal to a variety of our visitors. The entertainment lineup will also feature homegrown talent performing gospel music, spoken word, choreographed dance, demonstrations, and more.

This free, interactive, arts and live performance experience takes place on Market Street every Third Thursday.
