Nowruz is the ancient Persian new year festival, celebrated by millions of people around the world, marking the beginning of spring.

Join us to celebrate the ancient tradition of jumping over bonfires on the "Eve before Wednesday" to bid adieu to the cold of winter, and welcome the warmth of spring, Nowruz (Persian New Year)!

For the 27th consecutive years The Persian Society of Marin will be celebrating the ancient custom of bidding farewell to the winter and welcoming the Spring season and the rebirth of nature (A New Beginning), in beautiful McNear's Beach Park, overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

In celebration of Nowruz (Persian New Year) we will learn how to make paper hyacinth flowers.
