Join educators Meryl Sundove and Mariposa the Monarch Butterfly to learn about this fascinating flying species. Participants will act out a poem about the life cycle of the butterfly, and then draw the four stages of its life. Participants will also learn how to help this species, including how planting native milkweed and good nectar flowers can help monarch butterflies survive.

Join dance instructor, Fernanda Cedeño for a live Zoomba dance class. She will teach dance steps based on the movement of local birds and then put it all together into a dance we can do together. Participants should wear comfortable clothing, or their favorite wild costumes, and make sure they have plenty of room in which to dance. This lesson will be taught bilingually in English and Spanish.

Join origami master, Henry Kaku, to learn about the art of origami. Highlighting the traditional crane, he will teach participants how to fold a simple origami bird. It is recommended that parents of younger children attend to assist with the folding. Participants should bring origami paper if possible. Otherwise, everyone needs a piece of 6x6 inch paper with one side colored.
